This beautiful one a kind machine-embroidered shawl/scarf with its refreshing yellow daffodils on each corner was made to be a blessing to just the right person. To keep things interesting I have embroidered the Alef Tav along one long side, similar to a tallit with a border of daffodils on the other long edge. The Alef Tav will remind her to keep His commandments while also remembering His promises that go along with her remembrances of her covenant while praying to her Creator and King. This will remind her to remember to keep Yah’s commandments while remembering the promises of her Creator and King
Made of cotton gauze, this scarf will carry you from summer through fall and early winter, whether using it as a shawl for those cool summer evenings or to guard again over zealous air conditioning while at worship, conveniently over the shoulders and ready to put it on the head for prayer. This beautiful white prayer shawl will blend with many of your garments. It measure without the fringe at 69″ long (with fringe 74″ long) x 28.5″ wide.
If put away right after it is worn your scarf will not need washing very often. However, it can be washed in cool water, and line dry. A little ironing will be needed with a spritz of water on each motif (they draw up a bit after laundering), then ironing with an ironing cloth while gently pulling along the weave line as you iron. Before you know it it will be back in the original condition, maintaining its beauty for years to come. Variations in weave is conducive with gauze. It is not considered a flaw is you have some variances in your scarf. It is pretty easy to correct it if necessary. The trade is a nice, cool natural product that will make you feel wonderful during the warm months.
Each shawl takes an average of 6 hours to embroider, not including the prep time, clean up and preparing it for sale. Before the shawls are embroidered, it takes much prayer, thought and love to understand which motif to use, then making the samples to move around the scarf for best application, and then picking the colors that will be enhanced with the scarf. Sometimes walking away and coming back is needed to find our what and how it is to be made. All in all it will take 8 hrs average and then into the next day to wash it and iron it to get it ready for someone just like you
May this be the day you will know your scarf when you see it.
